How to: French Manicure

Hey everyone! I have a post for all of you on a super simple way to do a french manicure! It is so easy and quick. I think the french tips just give a clean look perfect for a special occasion or just everyday! Ok so lets get into the post!

What you will need:

1. Nails (obviously)
2. White polish
3. Clear polish
4. Reinforcements
5. Tape (optional)
6. Scissors

Lets begin!

1. Start off with clean nails.
2. Get your reinforcements and cut them in half, like so

3. Place them on your nails a little away from your tip like I did in the picture and if they don't stay feel free to tape them

4. Paint the white on your tip (it is ok to over lap the reinforcers)

5. Wait 5 minutes for it to dry
6. Once it is dry then peal off the reinforcer and you should have a white tip

7. If it is a little messy feel free to use a cotton swab and nail polish remover to clean u the edges also touch up the white if necessary
8. Paint on your clear polish and let them dry

9. You have finished! If they do not turn out perfect the first time do not get discouraged because practice makes perfect!
Mine are not perfect but I have been practicing!

I hope you all enjoyed if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments and if you try them out feel free to do a NPOTD (nail polish of the day) and let me know about it in the comments! I will gladly check it out.

Caution! Caution! This is a little bit of a rant/ ramble! haha

Even saying something like, "I love your blog! or I love this post!" Might not be much to you but I really love it so yeah! Let me know what you think!

Want Volume?

Hey everyone. So a while back I did a post, Want Silky Smooth Hair and even though it is great and I still do all the things in the post and use all the same products, I added something else. I love straight and curly hair, but with curly hair you get volume with straight hair it is flat. :(  I love volume, (not like the volume they have in the movie Hairspray but a good amount hahah). Plus this technique is really easy and probably won't cost you any money!

Now some of you might already know this trick and be saying, "Cami, why are you doing a post on this I have been doing this for years." Well some people might not know this and it will be helpful to them (I hope). :) (If you already do this let me know in the comments).

Everyday I straighten my hair using CHI silk infusion and a CHI iron and it gets really straight but it also gets really flat. Well, this is a post on how to get volume and keep your silky smooth hair!

What I do after I iron my hair is I plug in my blowdryer (If possible use one with different heat settings or one of those "cool" buttons)

1. Flip your hair over so it is in front of your face and bend over and tilt your head down (What?!?!) Flip your hair forward :)

2. Turn on your blowdryer to high and use one of those nozzle things. Focus on the roots and just move it back and forth until you feel your roots and they feel warm.

3. Then either switch the blow dryer to cold or hold the "cool" button (keep your head flipped) Blow the cool air on to the roots until they cool down. Once they have cooled down you can flip your head right side up and smooth it with your fingers and you should have a good amount of volume :)

4. Lastly, I finish with a hairspray, I like the Tresemme climate control because I really see a difference when I use it, my hair is way LESS frizzy and it does not frizz as much throughout the day! :)

I hope this was helpful and it literally takes 1 minute in the morning, it is not a big hol dup but it makes a big difference!

Leave a comment for any requests or just I if you want to comment.

Oh P.S. Any blowdryer will work I use a Conair and I do not even remember the name so what ever blowdryer you use to dry your hair will work!

I think what I am going to do is choose one nice comment from the previous post and put at the end of the post along with the blog URL so leave your comments. (I love love love reading all of your comments!)

NPOTD (Nail Polish of the Day)

Hey everyone. I don't know about you but I am constantly changing my nail polish and the colors. I love to have a different color on my nails a lot. Right when they chip I take off the color and put a new one on. Also, I do not get my nails done often because I think it looks fine when I do it my self. Plus it saves money! :)

O.k. so now that I just rambled on for so long about polish, what this post is really about is when I change the color of my nails I will do a post and take a picture of them (if you all want me to let me know) and just say why I like the color and where I bought it. (P.s. I have all different brands, from elf to sinful colors to OPI and Essie, a wide variety.) Also, I think it would be really cool if you guys do this too and then when you make a new post on your NOTD let me know in the comments of my most recent post and I will check it out and comment! (I do not know if people out there already do this NOTD but I have not seen this so I am not try to copy you if you already do this).

So now this is the color of my nails:

I used the color Hypnostise by Rimmel

I am sorry this pic is a little blurry but I tried taking it like 10 times and it looked just as blurry :(

Let me know if you like these posts because if you do I will do more if not I won't.

DIY Pore Strips

Hey everyone. I have a post for all of you today on an inexpensive pore strip. It gets kinda expensive if you want to use a pore strip everyday so this is an inexpensive alternative! What I use is Scotch tape! Believe it or not, but it really works and makes my skin feel so clear! (I recommend doing it before bed at night so your face is not irritated and red in the morning) What you do is tear a piece of tape and stick it over your nose and then once it sticks pull it off and all of the dirt will come off with it! My skin feels so clean I love it! Let me know if you try it and like it!

the site I found the pic: http://www.sporometrics.com/2009/07/08/d111/tartan-brand-scotch-tape/

L.A. Colors

Hey everyone. So I have recently received two things from L.A. colors! I did get them for free but I still have the same opinion on the makeup. I was sent the L.A. Colors Star Gaze 16 color eyeshadow palette and also an L.A. Color Jumbo Eye Pencil. The palette is in the color Admire and the Jumbo pencil is in the color Vacation. Now I went to their website and it said vacation was a green color so I got really confused... but I think the actual color is Tropical Bliss (I think). In addition, it came really well packaged with bubble wrap and in a cute little bag!

Review:

Palette: The colors are really shimmery and I love shimmery shadows! The colors are very pigmented. Mine is in the color Admire and it had really pretty pink, purple, gold, and silver. The only thing that is not my favorite thing is one of the shadow I used was black under the pink color but it just deepened the pink a tiny bit. Most of the colors had a darker color under it and it deepened them! :) That is the flaw but  not really the palette but it is so inexpensive anyways and all the other colors are great! The picture of the eyes is not the best but the the colors are amazing!

Jumbo Eye Pencil: It is such a pretty dark purple color. The color is mismarked but I'm sure if you order it you will get the correct one! I love it to use as liner and smudge it out to make a purple smokey purple eye! In addition, it lasts for a while and also it complements the palette really well! I will show you a swatch of the liner! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It reminds me of the NYX Jumbo eye pencil put this one has glitter in it. Also, it goes on so smoothly.

I hope everyone enjoyed this review!

Review: Nivea Creme

Hi eveyone. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I have a post on a really good cream I have been loving. It is Nivea creme. I have been putting this on my elbows, knees, hands, face and also, my lips and it make them so soft! I bought the large container and it has lasted for about a year and I am not close to finishing it. I think it was about 12 dollars at a drugstore. It is really thick so I would not put this on your face if it is oily but other than that I love love love it!

This is what it looks like (incase you were wondering)

Let me know if you want a post on tips to stay smooth for winter!
